Need a pair of original '61 Impala SS wheelcovers. Have a pair, need two more. Short of that, if someone knows who is making the nice "clones" using metal plates behind the spinners to mimic correct ones, that could be useful until the correct pair are found. Already have excellent repro spinners, so whether original or "clone" we can buy them without.
On a related note, need a matching set of 4 or 5 14x5" '61 full size Chevrolet steel wheels, preferably mint and rust free take off's. Call or PM. Thanks, Tom Seattle WA (2-oh-6) 459-1563 |

Thanks SYC,
I received 1 phone call from this ad. But it was the right one. A very kind tip from a board member lead us to a downsizing collector with a complete set of '61 SS wheelcovers, NOS IN THE BOXES. (To most of you guys, this would be akin to finding an NOS '70 dual snorkel air cleaner with a couple of '69 rolled exhaust tips tucked in, all wrapped inside a mint black 300 rubber floor mat.) The above Verne Frantz-verified '61 SS 348/350hp is the very deserving beneficiary of these covers. I think I found a set of rims locally, just waiting to finalize that. |

Tom,
I am glad I could make the connection for you. His NOS wheel covers deserved a good home and your car is that good home! Good luck with your project. -Matt Kurek

Glad to hear that you found the real parts for your REAL car. And congrats to Matt for passing on the lead.
