Default 69 Bucket Seats

----Got a question! What style seat lock is supposed to be on 69 Chevelle style buckets? Would it be the side style or the middle of the seatback style? Could there have been a mid-year change??? Thanks!!!.......Bill S

Unless it came with a passenger recliner. Then the buttons were on the side like 67-68

----Don,,,You win! I thought you might come up with the answer. I called someone after my post and he straightened me out. So weird, yet so true. I bought a 69 GP leather recliner for my 69 and didnt notice till I got home about this oddity. I now have a nice 69 recliner bucket seat for sale if anyone is interested,,,LOL.......Bill S

Heres the kicker thou. You need the matching drivers seat because when you got the recliner they put the side latch in on your drivers seat also so they would match...How much do you want for it???

----Don,,,Would like to get my money back,,,so $295 plus the trip. Its a black leather 69 GP seat. The leather is no good but not all torn up. The cut pile carpet is worthless. The foam feels OK but that might just be the stiffness of the leather. The seatback back is excellent. Recliner lever has some pitting, but I think they were pitted when new. At least I have never seen one without pits! Recliner works just fine. The seat itself is very nice with the usual surface rust.

----You know, Don, I might trade it for an original F70/14 redline tire either up or down depending on condition and brand. Want a correct redline spare for the GP....Bill S
