Does anyone know which head bolts markings are correct for 60's-early 70's Big Block Chevy engines. I have a customer looking for a set of head bolts for a 67 Camaro he is putting together and I am not sure which bolts are correct. I have looked at used sets I have bagged up that I have pulled off 1970 and earlier BBCs and they look to have a mixture of the markings of the NOS bolts he is looking at(pictured below). Are any or all of these marking correct?
Thanks, Jason ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Jason, the "M" on the head is correct for those years and the most desireable, at least that's what I've learned from my experience.

Kurt,
Thanks for the reply. I wonder why the M marked one is most desirable? Mot sets I have taken off of actual engines have the X/+ marking but a variety of symbols. Thanks again, Jason |
