Default REMOVE THE COWL?

I want to remove the windshield moldings on my 1970 Nova.To get the bottom piece off does the cowl have to be removed and if so what's involved to get it off?Thanks,Bill.

There is only a few screws to take the cowl cover off (5 I believe). Then pull the cover towards the hood side to take it out. It will make lower windshield trim removal much easier.
