Where did the line workers hide these puppies? Is it common to find these?

Thanks!

Sam,

Mostly under the back seat, or none at all to be found.

Good Luck,

Dan

Sam....it's very rare to find a Kansas built Chevelle with a build sheet.

Thanks guys. A friend is checking out one. Did all K built Chevelles have vins by the oil filter and were vins located on top of Muncie 4 speeds or on side with the "P" code?

I'm not exactly sure when they switched stamping the VIN from the pad to down by the oil filter although I believe very early in production.

The VIN on the trans should be stamped by the "P" Muncie code for '69.

The block stamps are mainly above the oil filter and the trans stamp example pics I have recorded mainly have the VIN stamped ontop of the trans away from the trans code. I can check my lists and see if I have info on any 69 chevelles being looked at, just PM or email me directly. Hope this helps. Andy

The build sheet on my 69 Kansas built car was glued inside bottom rear of the passenger fender, really didnt survive to good. The vin is by the oil filter and the vin by the trans was on the side by the assy date.

Sam,

My car is a KC build early January 69, and it had one body broadcast sheet stuck on the inside of each front fender...visible when you would open the doors wide and peek forward at the back side of the fenders. As others have indicated, CON VIN on engine block down by oil filter. Can't help with the 4 speed CON VIN location.
