This is a 1-owner 68 RS/SS 350-295 H.P., 4-speed bought new at Keller-Chohany Chevrolet located in Marysville, PA. For those who are familiar with the Harrisburg, PA area there were 3 Chevrolet dealers located within 5 miles of each other. The famous Sutliff Chevrolet in Harrisburg, Sunderland Chevrolet in Lemoyne, and just up the road on RT. 11-15 in Marysville was Keller-Chohany Chevrolet. Keller-Chohany was closed down sometime I believe in the 70's and was a very small dealership. I met Rich, the original owner of this car a couple months ago at a local show in Marysville. He told me the story how he bought the car and they asked him if he wanted to participate in the customized sales promotional paint they we offering, he agreed and this is the what he got. He told me he has all the paperwork verifying all of this and he offered to show it to me, when he invites me to his home. The car still retains its original paint, and has just over 45k miles on the car. His wife likes the wheel combination that is on the car now and he put airshocks on it, but he has kept all the original wheels and the spiral shocks. I surprised him when I offered to give him my Keller-Chohany original license plate frame I aquired when I bought a 69 SS Chevelle from the mechanic who worked at the dealer ship. It was a 325 H.P. w/ HD 3-speed on the floor.

The car belongs to a gentleman I just met for the first time at a local show near me. He told me about two other local one owner cars that are located in the same small town of Marysville, PA, all three were bought new from the same dealership, Keller-Chohany. The one being a 6k org mile 67 Chevelle SS.

cool paint !!! straight out of the 60's !! thanks for posting pics.
I assume the door stripe has paint and not a sticker like the factory??? You see a lot of incorrectly painted stripes. That tape job sure looks factory !! |
