Default 70 440 Exhaust system without mufflers sound ?

My 1970 Challenger R/T S.E. 440 4 speed/4 barrel carb with the stock exhaust system is bone stock.
I am getting tired of the quite sound it has.
Has anyone heard of what a stock exhaust system sounds like without the large mufflers in the back but the resonators still hooked up in the middle ??
Is it to loud ??
I was thinking about taking the stock tail pipes of the factory clamps that have the large mufflers attached and just storing them away and making new tail pipes without the mufflers to get a great sound.
Would like to hear some feedback on how this set up sounds.

stash the resonators in the garage, your ears (better burble) and your right foot (better throttle response) will love you for it.

Can't say on a 440 Mopar..... but I took the big mufflers off my '05 GTO and left the resonator and it sounds great!!!!
