Default Russo and Steele Announcement...Part two!

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!

Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction Reveals New Location

Immediate Release
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., - (November 1, 2010)– Russo and Steele Collector Automobiles, one of the nation’s premier collector car auctions, specializing in European sports cars, American muscle cars, hot rods and customs announces its new Scottsdale auction event location.

The 11th Annual Scottsdale Auction Event will remain in Scottsdale, Arizona, but move to a new venue to the east of its previous year’s location. The Scottsdale 2011 auction event, January 19-23, 2011, will be held at the intersection of the Loop 101 Freeway and Hayden Road, in North Scottsdale.

Following last year’s challenges, Russo and Steele, the Arizona State Land Department and the City of Scottsdale worked tirelessly to find a new location to better serve the needs of attendees and clients. The new location – just to the east of the previous venue, offers significant advantages for weather proofing, drainage and the ability for Russo and Steele to install much needed site improvements such as asphalt top surfaces.

In addition to the new venue location and asphalt, this year’s event will feature a new Losberger main auction structure. Manufactured in Germany, this new structure will afford an “all encompassing environment” in which to hold all the event elements including the main auction block, vehicle staging, vendors, sponsors and all the amenities that Russo and Steele is uniquely known for.

Of course, easy freeway access of the North Loop 101 will continue, with ample parking, valet services and entry off the Hayden Road exit. The multi-year agreement will keep Russo and Steele as a vibrant part of the Scottsdale Collector Car landscape for many years to come.

The co-owner and CEO of Russo and Steele commented on the new location and its affect to the Scottsdale auction event: “A huge ‘thank you’ goes out to our partners at the State Land Department and the City of Scottsdale Mayor, Council and Staff. Countless hours were invested, looking at every conceivable option to improve and ensure the long standing quality event we have invested so many years to build. Russo and Steele is ready to put the pedal to the metal, as we make the strongest statement in our 11+ year history. Russo and Steele is back; better than ever!”

Evidently, Russo and Steele has 'decided' (with a little 'help' from Barrett-Jackson ) to un-relocate.....

I just don't understand why they have to be at the same time anyways, there are a couple other auctions in the area at the same time too. I would think that would dilute the buyers and consignors, but I guess they know a lot more about it then I do.

People fly in for this particular week in Scottsdale. Some of the smaller auction houses have tried holding auctions the following week with dismal results. Much like Monterey, eveything happening at the same time appears to be the most successful approach. It's a blast!

I think they feed off of each other and brings in lots of people, kind of like auto dealers row or a group of restaurants.

I believe the correct terminology for a group of lawyers is called "an argument" (not a pack)

The term "pack" is customarily used because it refers to hyenas which are the closest living relatives to the modern lawyer, Hyenis Litiginous

I think it was Mark Twain (or maybe Yogi Berra) who said: "The town that can't afford one lawyer, can always afford two."
