Default Delco R59S battery question

Was the R59S battery used on the assembly line for the 67 68 or 69 Camaro? I know it was used on the 66 Chevelle. Any other assembly line applications? Thanks SYC.

The standard base battery for so many GM vehicles,Buick-Olds-Pontiacs-GMC,it's easier to list just Chevrolets.

1967-69 Nova w/low horse V8.
1967-69 Chevelle Malibu w/low horse V8.
1967-69 Impala series w/low horse V8.
1968 to mid 69 Corvette w/327 & 350cid. & low horse BB.

Hi, Thanks for the info. I thought with the S behind the number was a heavy duty option battery. I guess I thought wrong. Thanks guys.

Rick,
Those applications use the R59, not the R59S.
The only R59S applications per the Delco book: 1968-69 Corvette and a couple of 1970 Pontiac 455's.

Nope, you are correct. It has 13/cell instead of R59's 11/cell. Just not many applications.
