Would anyone happen to know where the mounting holes for the shoulder harness clips (<u>not</u> the harness anchor points) are supposed to be located on a `67 A body? I have shoulder belts installed in the Chevelle, but I haven't been able to figure out the correct location for the clips that hold the belts up against the headliner when they aren't in use. (I've already tried to peek under the edge of the headliner, but it's securely glued in place along the edges and I really ain't too keen on the idea of ripping it just to get a look underneath)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Eric |

The shoulder harness clips that the buckle slips into is not up on the headliner on a '67. It is down toward the leading edge of the upholstered rear/side panel. The shoulder belt will hang basically straight down from the headliner and plug into the clip when not being used. This is for real '67 shoulder belt equipment (which is rare). If you are using '68 and later stuff in the car, then I'm not sure where a suitable place would be under the headliner.

Jon;
Thank you. ![]() I retrofitted a set of `70 belts into my Chevelle. I guess I'll have to decide where to locate the clips myself. ![]() Eric |

Our '69 elCamino had a clip on the side panel behind the seat. The buckle plugged into it when not in use. I wonder if they are remotely the same?

I have a set of the shoulder belt clips that are NOS. You can have them. The ones I have are black. Here is a pic of them in my old 67 z/28

You're welcome, Eric. The '67 shoulder belt clips won't be useable with the '70 shoulder belt stuff because the belt with the plastic buckle is mounted up on the headliner, which is the reverse of how the '68-'72 Chevelles (and other GM cars) do it.
