Default Bucket Mouse Trap

I've been using glue traps along with bait stations to control rodents in my car storage building. Because the building is located in a rural are during the summer, the glue traps fill up with caught insects so fast they need changing every couple of days. I remember a thread concerning winter storage that detailed a mouse trap made out of a 5 gallon bucket that drowned the varmits but can't find it. I've tried using the search function but it's obviously above my pay grade...could someone please provide the link. I'm also open to other suggestions!

No disrespect intended but I've never found the search feature here very magical either and usually have better luck using Google w/ the topic like "mouse trap" and "yenko.net" both in "quotes"..

Sorry about the bad memories Rick. I'm still using the same set-up with no problems. The garage door is never left open if I'm not right there.

Thanks Verne. She is doing fine and I don't intend to make that same mistake twice!

Try putting in a swimming pool next to the car storage. I have a recent abundance of late nite swimmers/early morning floaters.

Thats it!!

Thanks guys. I plan to buy some cheap wine since it shouldn't freeze. The building is secure so no pets should get in but you never know. I prefer an overserved pet to the alternative.

We use the pail and antifreeze up at the camp...but there are rarely dogs in the deer camp. You do have to be careful though around pets....some guys use alcohol based liquids or even throw a little kerosene in the pail. A simple wire with a soda can strung thru it covered with peanut butter will do the job...just build a little access ramp and wait for the results.
