Hey guys,
I've seen some '67 Camaro's with the sheetmetal above the door panel with body color paint with contrasting panel colors (I.E. '67 RS Madeira Maroon top sheetmetal with white Deluxe door panels), but most with the color of the interior (I.E. PaceCar with blue sheetmetal and door panels). What format is correct? If both formats are correct, what colors allowed the sheetmetal to be a different color than the interior? Thanks, Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine |

Tony,
Interior paint color was dictated by the interior type of the car. For example a deluxe parchment interior car like mine has black paint. A Deluxe Blue interior car will have blue paint. If the car is a Norwood car the paint color will be indicated by a letter in the upper right hand corner of the trim tag. My site is not completely done yet but I put up the decoding page for 67 which would give you the color codes and the manufacturer paint number in a table below it. The page and the site is still under construction but this page is close to the final revision. 67 Trim Tag Decoding and Interior Paint Info Hope it helps, Mike |

Hey Mike,
That's some great info. ![]() I did bring up some old pics of the Deluxe Parchment '67 and the dash and top of the interior panels were black. After blowing up the trim tag, I found it is an LOS car and the digits in the upper right corner seem to be A413. TR is 797-Z I guess it's another case of LOS and NOR not being the same. ![]() Thanks, Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine |

Mike,
When your interior paint states 30 or 60% gloss...what have you found that has 30% and what have you found that's 60%? I have my own opinion on this, but I'd like to know what yours is. ![]() Thanks, Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine |

Ah, one of the many reasons that the page is not finished yet and not a permanent post on the site yet. I am figuring it will be the end of October before I am finished and ready for the official re-release of the site. On the gloss end in the research I came across a GM document which has not yet been added to the pages info which calls out the gloss levels. I will try and post the info for it later tonight as soon as I figure out where I put it. Will be adding that to the page as well as interior paint info to make it easier for the LA guys.
In this case with the 797 interior it is easy, the door tops, dash pad, dash paint, carpet (floor mats if you had them), seat belts and lower door carpet areas are all black. |

Seems I am not sure where it is at the moment so will have to post it up as soon as I come across it again.
