We had all intentions of hanging out at Speedworld Raceway in (I think) Surprise to take in the Hot August Nights Nostalgia Drags and Car Show. But when Bruce, my son Bryan, and I arrived, we counted like seven cars in the staging lanes and no one in the stands, hardly worth the $15 admission fee. The threatening weather probably had something to do with it, so we decided to drive down Grand Avenue to the 83rd Avenue Cruise.
With a nice breeze blowing, it was a great night to pull up some chairs and hang out. Since we didn't intend on going to this cruise, we didn't bring any chairs. So we ended walking around and taking some pics.
