Default The book is finally done!

I appreciate the help and support I got from all the members here at Yenko.net on the latest book project. I especially want to thank Brian and of course Joe and Frank too. I couldn't have pulled it off without them. I couldn't get all the important details without Brian's determination and support to try to get a book produced unlike ones previously published.

As of today I can't make any more changes. The book will be out in the Spring. It's got factory correct and non-factory correct information, but it contains more factory correct detail about restoring a first gen than any book I currently have in my vast collection. It's not loaded with part numbers and images of factory parts. It's a practical restoration how-to handbook for the typical home-hobbyist which also includes factory correct details and tips.

Of course I'm sure people will pick it apart and find things to debate about correctness, but we did our best with a limited amount of space (179 pages to cover the '67, 68, & 69). Unlike the 20+ year-old books, this book is all high-quality color photographs.

There are many other people I'd like to thank who made this possible. You know who you are. I think some people would like to remain anonymous, so you'll have to pick up a copy to read the "special thanks" section and see if your name is listed. I tried to list all the specific people who donated images and information. A couple of people donated images that turned out to be turned down by my publisher for one reason or another. At the last edit, I was forced to reduce my photo count by an additional 15, so unfortunately some got the axe. I put up a fight, but couldn't keep them all.

Thanks again everyone! This is a great website!

I wish my book existed when I built my Camaro. One of the old "Camaro restoration books" in my collection has some pretty crazy restoration tips.

You won't find anything like this in my book.

You'll be able to get our new book from Year One, Classic Industries, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Etc. As I've done for the past 3 books I've written, you'll also be able to purchase a signed and numbered (from 1 to 300) copy from me on my website RaceHome.com

The book was a huge undertaking. I'm so glad it's done. I can get on with my life now.

I think the timing is great - as I'm just now collecting 'Camaro' books, Danny is already 2 - he'll be 16 before I know it!!

I finally got my first actual advanced-copy of the book. It's great to finally have a finished product in my hands. I posted a couple of links to sample pages of the book on my website:
http://www.racehome.com/camarobookforsale-preorders.htm

The rest of the copies will be in my hands in a few weeks. It will be good timing so I can bring some out to Carlisle and hang out with Brian and literally tons of Camaros!

Maybe I'll get to meet some of you in person.

Take care,

Congratulations Tony!

This is surely a book that is needed and desired.

I mentioned to Brian that we would love to have you join us for the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals November 20-21.

I can promise, you will indeed be able to sell some books, and there will be no problem setting you up near some prime Camaros!
