Default Racing Fuel

Since we have a lot of North West suburban Chicago members on the site I thought that I would ask.

Are there any gas stations that sell racing fuel.

I remember in the old days there was a station on Oakton St. in Des Planes, across from what used to be Grand Automotive.

Gas City on the southeast corner of Rt.59 & Butterfield Rd. in Warrenville sells Rocket Blend 100 octane @5.19 a Gallon.

Delta Sonic Gas Station/Carwash on Ogden ave. in Downers Grove sells the same.

The Mobil(?) on Rt59 in town Barrington has 110. Last I saw it was $4 something. This across from the old Siegel's store, and I think an Audi dealership. It's on the east side of 59, between Lake-Cook and Rt14.

I was filling the diesel at the Citgo on U.S. 12 just south of the bridge in Fox Lake today. Right beside me was 110 octane race fuel @ $3.99 (containers only).

I haven't been uptown Barrington recently (IL 59 between U.S. 14 and Lake-Cook Rds.) but I will check the next time I head into town...you can pump directly into your vehicle there.

Stay tuned.

I have been buying 110 from the Citgo in Fox Lake for $3.99 a gallon. You have to use a container. Thanks for the tip.

Anyone know of any stations that sell the leaded 110 in the western suburbs ? I already know about the 100 octane unleaded places. Thanks.
