Bob, I took mine to a local radio repair shop. They reconed it and it works fine. If you do not have a radio repair shop in your little town. You can send it here for repair. Earl

-------I used Jackson as well and was very pleased. I needed quick turn around and at first he told me three weeks. When I balked at the time line he said he would do it and have it back to me for extra bucks. That scared me a bit until he told me how much extra. The whole bill came to $60.00!!!! Very reasonable as far as I was concerned. You will find his number in Hemmings in the services area.........Bill S

I bought a box of old used GM factory 4X6 Front & 6X9 Rear Delco speakers at a swapmeet here around 1993.The seller gave me the name of a man who could possibly recone them.I called that number & drove to the guys home.He walks me into a room you could sleep in & pulls out boxes of the Original cones, coils and other old world speaker parts..I was astonished at all the electrical components he had packratted in very liveable conditions.
I left him my box of speakers, and two weeks later he called me up to come get them.I was elated,as this was much sooner then promised.
He did incredible work as they all performed perfect and he charged quite reasonable for the time.I think it was $10.00 to recone a 6X9 speaker.I know this was 13 years ago,but I think he was in Elmwood Park area.
I will look for his phone number for you, once I finish my Cornflakes & Beer.

Thanks for the input...I'll check them all out...amazing how tough it is to find a rear deck speaker and grill for a 64 Belair...unless you know guys like Verne Frantz and some of his good buddies !
