Default E-Town cruise: reminder

Tomorrow night (May 10th) is the first Tues night cruise-in at Englishtown Raceway Park. They claim they'll let people have a free pass down the 1/4.
I don't know how it's going to turn out, but since it's the first one, and the weather is supposed to be great, I think I'll take the '09 and see what happens.

Verne.

It was ok.
I'd say maybe 250 cars, lots of early muscle plus a bunch of street rods, some modern, some retro. About 50 cars took advantage of the one free pass offer. Beautiful Lemans Blue '69 Z-28 went 11.8, but it sounded like a big block. A few very nice '69 and '70 Chevelles. A nicely restored 500KR was more interested in smoking his bias plys 3/4 of the track. Ran a 16.8, but I guess he had fun. My favorite car was an original paint, unrestored '57 Plymouth Belvedere with a hemi. He ran a 14.8. It was They had a 4x4 play area with concrete blocks and a couple crushed cars to romp on. The women seemed to love that for some reason.
Everything was free, except the $5. hamburgers.

It was fun!

For the price of 10 hamburgers, you could've bought yourself a digital camera.
I would've liked to seen what you did Verne.

Yeah, I'm behind the times I guess. We don't even have cable in the house, and you saw the rotary phone in the kitchen... (you know, when you were picking up Frank's sign)

More rare cars there: A '63 Olds full size, and a '66 and 69 Grand Prix.......ALL factory 4-spd cars!

I didn't notice the rotary phone, probably because the candle was burning out.
Did you take your 09 there & if so what happened?

Yes, Janet and I went in the '09, but I didn't race it. No headers, 4.56 or slicks on it anymore, so what's the point?

Besides, we had to leave early to go buy more candles............

Huh!?! The point? How 'bout 'fun', ya don't need headers, a big gear or slicks to run the 1320 - we do all it all the time; aka "Pure Stock is the way to Rock". We want to see you at the E-Town factory/f.a.s.t. event
