I am sad to report that Paul Deesen passed away on December 29, 2019.
Paul was a designer responsible for the front and rear ends of the 1961 and 1962 full size Chevrolets. In 1963 he moved to the Pontiac studio where one of the features he championed was the unique concave rear window for the '63 Grand Prix. He designed the original GTO emblem in '64, and the sides and front end of the 65 Grand Prix, and was the originator of the red line tire. In later years he was responsible for the interior of the distinctive GMC Motorhome and the exterior of the S/T Blazer utility. Paul was a member of the Widetrackers Chapter of Pontiac/Oakland Club International and a good friend of the late Eric White. Services will be held on Saturday, January 4th in Lapeer Michigan.
