Default Holley 3245 Numbers etc.

I have two Holley List 3245 carburetors that I have had for years sitting around. Both are what I would call very nice originals with all original parts and very nice plating finish etc.

One of the carburetors is dated 5B1 and the other is 831. I'm assuming that the 5B1 carburetor is an assembly line carburetor, although it seems quite early, and the 831 is a service replacement. The number stampings on the airhorn are quite different for these carburetors in form etc. Any comments about these differences by experts here?
