Default 1969 L-88 Corvette engine questions

I have a original L-88 engine that is stamped TI0924IT. It is all original except for the head gasket as far
as I can tell. The camshaft is stamped 8911 and I believe that translates to part number 3928909. This is an aluminum 842 closed chamber head engine and I thought the cam should be the 3925535. Are these two part numbers both for the early 69-L88 engine, and
are the spec's the same for both part numbers?
Also the 842 cylinder heads dated 7 18 68 and 8 23-68, were painted orange matching the age of the cylinder block. My understand was only the 67 L-88 aluminum head was painted orange with the block etc. Can anyone explain this? Also is the correct head gasket GM 3887179 (reddish brown in color for this engine.?
Thank you
