Default Tracking down Dad's old Deuce?

I remember when I was a kid my dad had a Deuce painted yellow (I think with black stripes?) that he'd take me for rides in. He'd put me in the back seat loose, punch it and I'd roll around and laugh my tuckus off.

So here I am 35 years later and I always wonder, after he had to sell it, what happened to it? Is it still around? Based on my memory and what I know of his preferences back then I think it was a Sunflower Yellow with a manual transmission, which narrows it down to six cars. Since he was living in Tidewater Virginia back then I think it was likely #369408, sold from Colonial Chevrolet nearby, but he wasn't the original owner since he didn't live there yet in 1970.

Is there a way to do a title history search on a VIN that old? Would state DMV transfer records be accessible/useful? (Would they even still exist at this point?)
