Are these the ones that read the air pressure?

I believe that they are there so you dont have to pull your trim ring to add air and or check your tire pressure if you have the older style short valve stems. I know you can get the longer valve stems and just use a normal cap. I have never seen or heard of the extensions being discussed nor have I seen them for sale.

Those are neat accessory items for sure, but i can almost guarantee nothing like that was ever factory installed... I think the extenders he's looking for are something different. The idea of the extenders being used to help the valve stem pass through the trim ring makes sense.

I remember them - as a black plastic extender, about 1 1/2" long with a rounded metal covering on the tip. Very similar to the look of the on the wheel tire gauge, but not as thick. I'll have to dig to see if I have any.

Thanks guys ....I think Dog has what I need to look for. The ones they sell now days have a White plastic insert. I used to see them on GM cars of the 80s and 90s on the spoked hubcaps. Never seen the metal insert ones until your pic. Thanks again for the responses.
