What is the general consensus on smog diverter valve ID ink stamp versus the decal. Were both used during the 69 model year? I have a super nice early take off 69 Z/28 smog setup. The pump is dated 12091S, clamps are 2/69. The diverter valve has the GH decal instead of the more commonly seen ink stamp.

I was under the impression that the sticker did not appear until the 70 model year, or on a over the counter replacement part.

Tommy,
Your diverter should have a part # 29295 stamped on the base of the valve. These small block valves are coded GF. GH is for the big block 29297 valve so something isn't quite right with your smog setup. 69's would most likely be inkstamped as well. Chris |

It is the 29295 diverter valve and is coded GF, not GH. My mistake.

I have a friend who is second owner of a 69 Z. The first owner removed the smog when he installed headers, shortly after purchasing the car,and put the smog stuff in a box. My friend got the box of stuff with the purchase, and the code on the diverter is a sticker. Engine was assembled late May.
