Possible profile theft...
<font color="blue">I am on right now @ 11:50pm est & I checked 'who's online'& noticed there were many
anonymous users 'looking at members profile'. Not one or two, but 20 or 30 !!!  I think this may become a problem. I had that happen on my old website & had to shut it down due to members getting spam & such due to the same reason. Just letting you know, if you haven't noticed. BEWARE. </font>

I've noticed that too Mike...96 people looking at user profiles counted at 9:03pm AZ time!

Maybe you should have to register or better yet be a paid member before you have access to that info.

that is really disturbing, many sites only allow registered users to view member profiles. again my Emailbox is flooded with offers to get me a "Sonic-Johnson" I'll have to change my email AGAIN !!!

Its going on again right now, there are 364 anonymous users on and a BUNCH of them are checking profiles.
 AND my spam folder is starting to fill up.

I brought this up to Tom C. a few days ago and he said unfortunately this is the price of doing business as the web site gets bigger. I felt he had the situation under control. Am sure Mr. Clary will chime in to explain.
Not a bad idea to have limited access to profiles - other sites do it. Not sure what i would do if this site went down for even a few seconds, er minutes, er hours.....   Kudos to the folks who watch over and protect our beloved site!

Maybe I'm wrong but I think you MUST be registered, and MUST be logged on to view members' profiles. Anonymous users viewing a members profile may be some like me; who have chosen the "Anonymous" feature in their profile.
