Spell checker

When I use the spell checker on a post, after I make a change and hit the "Apply change" box, it does not make the change in the post I am typing. What am I doing wrong ?
Also, and I know this was discussed B4. In a post with a WWW link, how do you shorten it to a catch phrase like "Looky here" ? And still keep the link active ?

the web link is really easy in a two procedure method.
1st, copy the URL/web address on to your clipboard. click on the red "URL", paste the address, press OK then type your catch phrase looky here

OK - I know I'm dense - but what clipboard, what red "URL"?

when you hit the reply button, look underneath the box you are typing in, to the right, it says "Instant UBB code", under that are the choices, underlined in red.

the clipboard contains the data that you collect when you highlight, right click and select copy.
