Default 1969 Camaro trim tag

Why are Van Nuys cowl tags stamped VN or LOS? Was this random throughout the 1969 production or did they make a change midway into production? When did they make the change?

Okay... thanks Jonesy. Here's another question pertaining to my trim tag, because I can't read the first digit in the build date. The caulking that was used to fill the rivet is covering the first number. I don't want to chip away at it... knowing me I will cause damage.
The number that I can see is 2D. My question is can you figure out if I have a 12D or 02D car? The body number is VN210907.
If this helps, the rear is dated BU 1220 G. I am thinking I have a 12D car, but I just want to know for sure what it is. My car does not have the original block.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tony

Hey,Tony I have some info. if your vin# starts after 510584 and not exceed 513816 it's a Dec.car,if it start with 520248 and not exceed 525388 it's a FEB. car. Please note that the above vins are for VN cars only.
