Default 69 BB Camaro alternator brackets

Can anyone help me to identify the proper "top" alternator bracket for a 69 BB Camaro.

I have seen (2) different versions.

One bracket has an "adjusting" hole in the top.

The other bracket is solid without the "adjusting" hole.
It looks like the other (2) pieces are universal.

Which one is correct for the car?

Thanks in advance.

Elon

NO ajusting hole on a 69 brakcket. Just two holes, One for the heater hose strap and another non-threaded one for the alternator wiring clip..BKH

Elon,

Along with the top bracket ( no adjusting hole ), the lower
bracket is unique as well. It did not use the dog-leg bend
as the later ones did. It's just straight steel with no
bends.

Hi Steve:
They must have carried that one into 70 also since I have a couple of 70 set ups with the flat bracket. Do you know what pipe spacer is correct for the stud. I have taken off two piece ones and the one with the bracket welded right to the pipe but not 100% sure which is correct for 69/70.

The 2-piece setup is correct for the 69 BB.

The flat lower bracket has a barrel shaped spacer pressed in to align with the smog pump. The later dog legged ones accomplished the same purpose.

I think that is two different brackets Gary. I have flat ones 69/70 with that insert and some without. Not all 69/70 had the smog.
