I bought a NOS crossmember that has is listed for 68-69 Camaro 396,68-70 Chevy 396 and 73-74 Nova. I know for a Nova, the mounting slots are offset to the right side and one corner in the hole on the bottom is chamfered at a 45. I thought the Camaro was the same, am I correct? The part number is 3899006.
This looks like a typical SB manual trans crossmember. The slots are not offset nor is the chamfer there. Is this a mistake on Chevy or do some of the Camaro BB take crossmember? |

The Nova and Camaro crossmembers are identical, and have the IBM punchcard hole.

Dan,
That part number, per my sources, is for a 68-74 Nova or 67-69 Camaro crossmember EXCEPT for the 396 cars. In other words, it's not for a big block.
