Default Need original style suspension pieces for a 69 Z28

Hello,

I am in the market for some leaf springs and shocks for my very original 69 Z28. Starting with the leaf springs. I am trying to locate some that are as close to the original style as possible. My originals were replaced a few years ago with some cheapy springs. Luckily the original front springs are still on the car.

Second ordeal is the shocks. Everybody sells the spiral OEM style shocks. But none of the vendors can tell me where I can have the date codes stamped on. Does anyone know who does this?

If you can, please let me know where to purchase these springs and also a part # would be great if you have it.

I have called around to a lot of the vendors and they all sell different type leaf springs. Plus they all say they are exactly like the originals. Kind of frustrating....

Thanks for the help!!!!!!

Anthony

Heartbeat City in Michigan carries/makes exact as Jim Stubbing says repalcement springs. Also Bob Harris (Camaro Specialities)in Buffalo, New York does the correct shocks and sells them with the dates stamped. Both are good to deal with in my opinion. Good luck with the car! Sounds real nice. Sam

Sam,

I sure do appreciate it!
I have been trying to get in touch with Jim at Heartbeat City since Monday. Still no luck, lady said on the phone that he only responds to e-mails now. But has yet responded to me by e-mail. But I will keep trying him.
That is great that the guy in Buffalo stamps these shocks!!

THANKS AGAIN!

Camaro Specialities (716)652-7086. Ask for Craig or Bob. Go to their web site also. Sam

I am on the phone now with Bob. WOW, now this is what I am talking about. He is treating me like he really wants my business. Even better he can date code the shocks like you said and says he has the original tooling to make the exact leaf springs for these Camaros. Too cool!!! Thanks Sam!!!!

That ole Jim at Hearbeat acts like he does not need the business.... But oh well...

Thanks again!
Anthony
