Default A Picnic Invitation

Date: May 21st
Place: Mercer Co. Park, West Windsor, NJ

Details:
Our local club, The Jersey Late Greats ('58-'64 Chevy) has had our annual picnic at this location for many years. The park location we use is ENTIRELY PRIVATE and safe with a very large parking lot and large covered pavilion. This year we've decided to invite many other clubs to come and join us and have fun. It would be great to see a large variety of neat cars there and let everyone meet each other in a very informal, non-judged, tire-kicking environment.
So, I have the pleasure of inviting any member of the SYC, and their family to come join us. Just be sure to bring your favorite car!!!!! All the details are in this flyer. I hope many of you can join us.

Verne

Well, I only have one interested party so far. Check your calendars guys. This get-together is going to be nothing but FUN. LOTS of neat cars!!
We're also planning a white elephant auction (to help offset our club's expenses) of some very unique Chevrolet promotional items. Maureen has a direct link with Chevy for some great items that can't be purchased anywhere.
This site has a lot of members in NJ or close to it. I can't call this event an SYC gathering without Tom's approval, but it would be a great opportunity for the "locals" to get together and put faces to names..........not to mention to see their cars up close and
personal!!!!

You probably still couldn't find the place if Spanky unrolled a ball of string behind him!!!!

Verne, as far as I know we'll be there. We're going to Virginia Beach for a show the week before, so as long as there are no problems...

Does it have to be a Chevy? Are Mopars allowed?

Steve,
The guy who did the flyer is changing it so it doesn't say "Chevy". ANY neat car and owner is welcome, so please join us. I'm sure the fellow who did your distributor will be there.
As I said, it's a nice safe, secure spot. All the cars will be close and in view.

(That's assuming of course that you still have a Mopar by then...... )

Verne

Also, if you're coming from the NW corner, I can give you better directions so you're not going out of your way.
Oh, and maybe I shouldn't mention this, but there's a private 1/8mi straightaway leading into the place which would be the best place to be if your......uh......throttle got stuck.....

Also.........anyone who is planning to come, PLEASE give Maureen a call. She'll need to know how much "stuff" we need to buy. Her number is on the flyer above.
