Default L78 Nova throttle linkage or cable?

Do the 1970 L78 Novas use a throttle mechanical linkage setup or cable? My car is set up for a throttle cable as evidenced by the hole in the firewall and gas peddle configuration. All the books I have read tell you how to install either setup with a cast iron intake, no mention of aluminum. What type of aluminum intake mounting bracket(s) are required to install a throttle cable to a Holley carb.?

My 70 Camaro L78 uses a cable with a throttle bracket. So do the Chevelle L78 and LS6 engines. There are a couple of different brackets GM had but they all work fine. There is another thread showing what the brackets look like.

The switch from mechanical linkage to a cable took place sometime in late Dec..early Jan for the 70 Nova...my early cars have the linkage and all the Jan 70 and later have the cable. The cable bracket attaches to the drivers side rear carb stud and has an opening to secure the cable grommet.

Just as Tom said..... it will depend on the build date due to a design change during the model year.

My car has a 04C build date so the cable is correct. I can not locate the thread that you refer to, can you point me in that direction? I appreciate everyon's help.

There are some pictures of the bracket in this thread. They are attachments so you have to open them to see them.
