FYI, if you are looking for 100% correct that radio is not the one you need. Although it looks like the 67/68 AM radio, from the codes it looks like a 1970 replacement radio.
The correct 67/68 part number for the AM radio is 986823. I'm going by the assembly manual and the code on the side of my original radio which is 986823. The AM/FM is coded 986824. Rick H. |

Charley's radio is the correct AM radio for your 68 Camaro. The part number 9297901 is in the assembly manual and the date code on the transistor is 38th week of 67 so it's an early radio. I think the p/n's Rick quoted are for 67.

Id have no problem putting it in a 67. If im not mistaken they are identical with the exception of the paper tag
