Default Hawaii quake

Bad quake in Hawaii today (6.3-6.5 with 5.8 aftershocks). Anyone hear from Jeff and others that are out there?

I'm wondering the same thing. I just noticed it on CNN but don't really know which Island Jeff is on.
Hope he and the family are OK.
Come to think of it, my neighbors are there too.

More info here:

Jeff does not live on the big island.
Hopefully, this sounds worse than it is. If the power can be restored, things will get going, and the big island will start the road to recovery.

I talked to my folks. My Mom works at the Kona(Big Island) hospital. She got called into work to help evacuate. Doesn't sound like things are too bad all and all.

Oahu where I am at rocked and rolled for a bit this morning. Some homes got damaged here with broken windows and brick work that broke away. Big Island got damage, roads bulkled/as Jason stated the Hospital in Kona was evacuated due to structual damage and a gas leak. Some homes over there got moved off their foundations and other homes damaged with broken windows. Big Island received a lot of rock slides as well with highways being closed. My power was off from 7:15 to about 3:30 or so with some of the island still in the dark.

All airports were shut down with no or limited power. Someone called KSSK Radio, from a commerical plane on the ramp in Denver asking what was happening. Guess they were headed to Honolulu.
