Default 'Vintage Motorsport' Sept/Oct 2006

There is a very cool and well written, nine page, Nickey Chevrolet racing article, in the current issue of 'Vintage Motorsport' Sept/Oct 2006,by Tom Stephani.

The article includes many pictures from Tom's private archives.

This is a must read for any Nickey enthusiast.

It is a very good article. The article lays out the time line on when things tooks place regarding the installation of the 427. Very cool to read about the team ownership, sponsorship and how they became a big time player in the muscle car era.

Can you say two purple Vettes?

It looks like Nickey had the same problem as Mr Norm in the 70s when the city of Chicago changed and got bad.

Very interesting story. Your right, a must read for Nickey fans.

Cool.. I have always enjoyed my visits with Tom, a wealth of information. And really dig his Nickey road race car.

Might have to borrow your copy of the magazine, as "Vintage Motorsport" will be hard to come by in our neck of the woods.

Check the rack at the local book stores. We'll have a copy on the web site soon.
