The AutoFair is more a swap meet than a show. There will be a couple thousand cars there but you have to be affiliated with a car club to get your car in. You can't just drive up and enter your car. I had my Beaumont there last year. It is worth the trip especailly if you are looking for parts. It is the largest swap meet in the southeast.

Thanks, I was just wondering on the show as well, and could not remember the name, dates etc.

I do not have any of supercars as many on this site do, I do have a nice original uncut 71 Hugger Orange Blazer (original color) that I may carry up there. Yes, it is a convertible, and I may just take the top off.

And small world, live in Atlanta, and from Roanoke myself actually Catawba, VA but no one ever heard of Catawba so I just say Roanoke.

No, but I know Bradshaw road!

I lived over the mountain, Bradshaw road is before the mountain. I lived near the hospital in Catawba, behind "Keffers" store.

Have you been to the homeplace to eat? I knew the people that owned the house before and played and hunted the entire property there. No way to do that now with all posted signs.
Went to Northside High school, and rode the bus 1 hour to school from Catawba!(up hill both ways....)

While their, growing up my first car was a 69 L34 Chevelle, Silver. My parents wanted me to buy this car as they knew the person that had it.....they had no idea what the car was or what it would do. Just that it was a nice car from a trused person. Raced on WIlliamsom road all the time. Blew the engine up, saved my money, bought a L88 at Dave Hallman Chevrolet that is now Berglund chevrolet for $735 over the counter NEW!Car screamed. Paid $1800 for it with 36K on it.

One of my friends told me Dave Hallman Chevrolet had a 69 ZL1 for sale at his dealership. At the time did not know what it was, but thought they were crazy for having a car at that price. Not sure if it sold.
Anyway, here in ATL now, go to Catawba 2,3 times per year, mainly in Nov for Hunting season.
