Where can you find reproduction Goodyear Wide Tread GT Tires in F70-14 size for 69 Camaro's? I have seen the Polyglas GT tires in reproduction but I dont think these are correct for 69 Camaro's. Thanks,
Paul

They aren't. Wide Treads are correct, and can be bought from Kelsey Tire...The Wide Tread GT is not produced in an F70-14 size, but the standard Wide Tread is.... I believe the website is kelseytire.com.

Joe, you are right, I got a set of Wide Tread for my Pace Car from Kelsey Tire in the F-70-14, didn't they only go on the Z-28, and Pace Car?.......Kasey

Z11 Pace Car replicas used the F70-14 (Wide Tread if it was a goodyear), which is the same as any SS Camaro, I'm no pacecar expert, but I believe I read that the "actual" pace car used 15" E-70 Wide Tread GT like the Z/28's...As a side note, Sport Car 200 Firestones are also correct for a 69 Z, in E-70 15 size.

Paul, go to www.kelseytire.com, click on "Performance Series", the part number you want is 114-481-040. I got a set from them a couple of years ago for my 69 Velle SS.

Here's a shot of my Z11 with the correct Wide Treads I got from Kelsey Tires. When you receive them, make sure you check the tires closely for damage or defects. I had to send two tires back because the were "shaved" too close to the side wall and the white letters looked way too thick. I also had to send one tire back because it had razor cuts in the sidewall from the person who wrapped them and then cut the wrapping while it was against the sidewall of the tire. Kelsey was very helpful and sent out new tires, but I had to front the money for them. They did refund what I paid for the defective/damaged ones and paid for shipping out of their pocket:

Was a G70-15 custom wide tread available as optional tires, and if so what cars did they come on?
One more question, what cars came with the H-70-15 polyglas? Corresponding with a guy that has a complete set of each NOS. Thanks

I don't know of anything that came with G70-15s or H70-15s from the factory... both were a pretty big tire for a factory application... G-70-14's were optional on el Camino SS (maybe Chevelle too?) in 69.

The GTO's and 442's had the G70-14's pretty much as standard equipment. Agree with Joe on the G70-15's and H70-15's, strictly "tire dealer" offerings as far as I know.

Steve, Do the reproduction WTs have the size (F70-14) on the wall after WIDETREAD?
I have picked up a display-spare WT-GT from a board memeber here for use in my 69. Of course would be nice if it was correctly reporduced. A lot of SS with POLYGLAS out there. They all ride like junk, but look so right on the cars. ![]() Jim
