I know a about a guy who bought a new cranberry red/black stripe LS-6 4spd back in late 1970. well, for whatever reason he could not make the payments thus the car was going to be repossed. Before the car was repo the original LS-6/M22 was removed and replaced with a low compression 402 T-10 4spd combo. The 454/M-22 was then transplanted into my buddies dad's 1970 1/2 cortez silver Z28. My buddy had since inheirted the car from his dad with the chevelle's LS-6 M/22 still in tack. I just wonder if their is some guy out there with that cranberry red chevelle wondering what ever happened to the original engine
