I think the change happened at some point during January 68, so your car is a tough call. If I had to guess I would say the later style stripe that continues down the side of the car. Someone must know for sure and will probably chime in.

I looked back in the 68 Camaro Final Assembly manual and the release date on the drawing for the long SS stripe down to the end of the doors was Jan 24th 1968 so I imagine that it would take a week or two to make it to production... Right?

Thanks
If the drawing was dated Jan 24 th, then i would imagine that by the time it was sent down to the line would of taken at least a week or more so I would guess that the stripe could of been either one, the old style or the new style with a little more emphasis on the old style (bumble Bee) Peter |

Nope, your stripe would have been a D90. Documentation often follows a changes, though it *should* be the other way around.
![]() Rich F. dug up the info for you: (thanks Rich!) Memo from CMD, Central Office, dated December 15, 1967 "... (Discussion of new colors) ... The front accent band current included in Camaro SS model option is also being replaced, effective with production on January 2, 1968, with new sport striping. RPO D90 will provide the same type of striping for models not specifying SS options."
