Thats the Date code.
4=month,April 9=day YA=Application code for SS Camaro-Nova-Chevelle-Elco. Look to the left of the 4.You should see a M with a small number next to it.Thats the MFG. code, example M4 for Motorwheel. Look under it to determine year rim was assembled. Example=M4/8...8 is for last digit of year,1968. Full YA assembled code is April 9th,1968 from Motorwheel. |

The only year Camaro received these wheels was on the 1969 model.
Colvin says the earliest SS 14X7 YA Magnum wheel found to date is 11/4/68. When you type in Capitol letters,it means you are yelling. Can you please not yell so often. |

No one has ever come up with a documented Camaro (build sheet, window sticker, shipper copy, or GM of Canada documentation) that shows the SS wheels were installed as an option on a 69 Camaro.
