Wanted an original GM dual snorkle air cleaner used on 70 1/2 Z/28 Camaro's. It must be a GM and not a repop. I need the top and bottom. Chrome condition is not to important as long as it can be rechromed. Let me know I'll buy it or have many parts to trade. 520-349-2337 (AZ) Thanks, Larry.

Hello, I'm still looking! I can't believe someone does't have one. There the same only black lid on Olds. 520-349-2337. Thanks, Larry.

Just curious, how do you now it's the real thing?? part #, stamping.....??? I have one off a car I bought awhile back and it looks like a vintage piece but I never gave it much thought.

I got mine off a ctc coded engine from california. Very clean condition.. $500? wow, Marlin, didn't realize they were that hard to find.. I think the differences are discussed and nicely shown in pics here:

I sold one earlier this year for $150. Ignorance is bliss I guess

I tried to register on that board, but could not. Good thread though. The main difference that I look for determining if the a/c is the original or not are the bulges in the snorkels where they attach to the base. The originals are very pronounced, the repro's are not.
It is easy to get caught buying snorkel a/c's for other models, mainly ones with quadrajet carbs - I think I have one of them myself ![]()

I was real excited when I bought my 74 parts car and it had one of these in the trunk...it turned out to be for a quadrajet.
