Part number #1998701 is a Windshield Wiper switch for for a 1959-60 Passenger car.In late 1960 it was superceded by part number #1993543.
This numbers official application is 1959-1963 Chevrolet passenger,& 1963-64 Corvette. This number was discontinued in May 1994.
Today it is being reproduced for around $55.00,but the real switches from the day, bring closer to $100.00.
Hope that helps.

Rick, thanks for the info. I searched Ebay and found one like it. I now have it listed on Ebay along with a NOS AC factory rebuilt 55-57 Chevy fuel pump.
