Is anyone near Rochester, MN that could look at a car for me (happy to pay for your time and expenses of course). Just need you to check that the car is as described. Thanks,

Roger, Yeah, like I said in a post below in my "Wanted" ad, the fellow was just trying to put a value on the car??? Why do people do that??? Why not just post the info on a BB and ask for thoughts rather than wasting everyone's time

Well, thanks to a lead from another board member last night, I spoke with the "real" owner of the car. Turns out the fellow in Rochester was actually trying to buy the car and was either checking on the value or testing the market for a resale of the car. He picked the car up yesterday for $30K - needs a complete resto. We'll see if he advertises it again...

Rob,
It was a '67 RS Z with 19,800 orig miles. It sat outside for 7 or 8 years, but was solid over all. Neat options though...tach/gauges, headrest seats, shoulder harness etc. Originally from Courtesy Chev in CA. Would have been a cool car to restore - Nantucket blue on blue std guts.
