Side Case numbers are 3885010 and 3884685.
Date code for tranny is P0 <font color="red"> 3 </font> 14 Yes the 3 is just that not an Alpa #???? What I see as the partial VIN stamp is stamped on the front top of the tranny between the mounting ears and is 6K170978 Any help in what this came out of? Was given to me yesterday to help someone clear out their garage prior to their moving. Mahalo for any help in IDing this tranny's application

Looks like a 1966 Chevelle or El Camino transmission. Look at the rings on the input shaft, 2 rings=M-20, 1 ring=M21, no rings=M22 assuming it is the GM input shaft..

The "P" is for a Muncie, 03 is March, followed by the day of the month. 6K is the Kansas City assembly plant, which made Chevelles or El Caminos.

What threw me off was the P0 part, I was thinking 1970 Tranny and then the casting numbers were from 66/67 time frame. Either way its a gimmie that all I had to do was remove from the guys garage to my house.
