Test and tune. Ed's race car and a gold demo car from the Yenko dealership. The Gold car is now part of Cliff Ernst's collection.

What a cool car! I wish it could be found and restored back to the Hedrick days.

Ed Hedrick is a really great guy to talk to, he attends the York US30 show in York, PA. He can tell you all kinds of neat things about that car, like the stripes!

Speaking of Ed, here's a cool original photo from my collection.... whats really neat about him is how he has an absolutely photographic memory about all those old races...At York he told me about racing with Grumpy, and specific races and events, all as if it happened yesterday... was amazing how many details he recalled about events that happened over 30 years ago! He really got into seeing the old pics and memorabilia I have of him and his car, and said that I have more pics of him and "that camaro" than he does! A really cool guy, was fun to talk to him!

Note the tailpanel emblem treatment in the above attached photo... its hard to see, but it had a standard blue bowtie emblem with 67 Corvette 4 2 7 numerals attached to the face of the bowtie. (I think this is how Cliff's gold car is done too) Later pics I have show the car with the "standard" staggered Yenko/427 emblem placement... Ed didn't recall it ever being switched, but when I showed him the different emblem placements in my pics, he agreed it definitely was the same car, with photos taken at different times in the year...the above pic being an earlier photo. My guess is that it was changed after the car was in an accident and they repaired the 1/4 panel... he said that made as much sense as any... who knows?

Can Ed remember what happened to the car?? Was this a Yenko owned and sponsored car or did Ed own it and drive it with Yenko as the sponsor?
