OK - we all pretty much know what the going rate for '69 Yenko cars are, but I haven't heard numbers being thrown around for the going rate of '69 Baldwin Motion cars...I'm not looking for specific numbers, just a ballpark figure for each....I'm particularily interested in the rates for Camaros and Novas.....any input is appreciated....

IMHO, I think a #1 condition, documented '69 Baldwin Motion Camaro w/4speed, a good color, good Motion options (L-88, side exhaust, hone, etc.) could perhaps get very close to ZL-1 $$'s. A similarly equipped 69 Nova maybe $75K less. These cars rarely trade hands and most are private deals so getting a real market price is pretty difficult.

here's a question we'd all like to see an answer too... so how many are OUT there? We all know of the most popular and public made B/M cars.. but what about those unknowns? There has to be at least a couple... anyone care to share? Would love to see some new B/M cars surface or at least be recognised and brought out of hiding..

There are only two Yellow ZL1's. Neither have their orig engines in them but they do exist. Neither have sold for 275K. Are you thinking of Reggies white one with the orig block with it ? It was a No Sale at 275K.

To my knowledge, there are about 7-8 documented '69 Baldwin Motion Camaros. At least 4 of those are owned by board members. '68 BM Camaros, only 2 documented that I know of and both owned by board members. '67 BM Camaros, don't know of any left that are documented. The Novas and Chevelles don't know, but VERY few. Once you get into the '70-73 Camaros there are a few more, but still are extremely low in number. The 69 BM Camaro likely tops the list in market value.

I know of 2 documented '67 Camaro one is owned by a board member and one by a non board member. 3 '68 Camaros (two by board members and one by a non board member) and 9 '69 Camaros. I know of 2 '69 Novas and 1 that is in the documentation process (1 owned by board member) and 3 69 Chevelles (2 owned by board members)....off the top of my head.
Which brings up a question...a couple years ago there was a pic of what looked like a '68 BM Camaro (blue with black stinger hood) on the cover of the National Parts Depot catalog.....was that a real car or was it something other than a BM car????

While both 1st gen ZL-1 and Baldwin Motion Camaro's are extremely rare, I can only think of 8 - 10 Baldwin Motion 1st gen Camaro's (Phase III) out there vs. ~42 ZL-1's. I would think it would be easier to buy a ZL-1. Some ZL-1's have been sold (for big money), yet no one has recently parted with a Baldwin Motion Camaro - making it hard to compare both cars on the market. With only 4 ZL-1's for every 1 Baldwin Motion Camaro, which do you think should be worth more?

Cool cars for sure....but a ZL-1 really is not comparable to a converted car IMO...both very rare and valuable.
