There was a styling car with a bb and a clear hood bubble but it was not known as an L88. This thing was/is in Wisconsin; I did see it here over 20 years ago.

Thanks for the Help and pics. Any other info you have on the car would be great. It belonged to Bill mitchell, right?

Well first of all there is more than one. The car I saw in town was slightly different than the car in the pictures. Also there was a GM-issued book about styling cars; one of the photos shows 2-3 of these in process.

If you read the markings on the hood of the one pictured it reads, "Mark IV 396". No reference that would lead me to believe it's got an L88 under the hood.

There was a mention of an 427 Camaro drag car that Chevy engineering had. It was in a article on new car preview for 1967. They didn't say much about it other then it had slicks and open headers.

That car, a yellow RS coupe, was in the same Hot Rod feature as the red convert. Probably just a show car.

Anyone have that picture where a custom Camaro was pictured on a trailer with a custom Chevy truck towing it? Not sure if it was 67 or 68

A car similar to this one paced the Can Am race at Road America in 1967.
