What is the right fan/alternator belt part number for a 69 L-72 Camaro running without the A.I.R. system installed? I'm assuming some of you Yenko/ZL-1 guys with headers are running your setups this way...

I'm running my manual tranny 69 L89 that way. Can't say I know the specific part number, but you could probably go with a belt applicable to "396CI/325HP L35 Automatic Tranny" which I believe did not come with A.I.R.
Just my $.02 worth, hope it helps.

I do not know if this will help you but, the Parts book says: Years USAGE............................................. ...............PART NO DESCRIPTION 69.... CAMARO (8 CYLINDER) (exc. AT., C.A.C., 302,396) 3883248 Generator 69.... CAMARO (8 CYLINDER) (396 w/A.T.)....................3937790 Generator Which is not really the application and no 427 Camaro listed so here is some more info from the parts book: 3883248 FAN AND GENERATOR 3/8"-47 1/2" CAMARO w/Sp. H/Per. (396) 3937790 FAN AND GENERATOR 3/8"-45 1/2" CAMARO w/H/Per. (396) 3937790 was also used for: CHEVELLE (396.400 w/4BC, 454) (exc. Sp. H/Per.) CHEVELLE (8 CYLINDER) (T.H. 400 w/H/Per.) (exc. 63 amp.) PASSENGER (8 CYLINDER) (396, 427) (w/T.H. 400) 3883248 was mostly used for other small block applications. Greg
