All based on the stock C2 Corvette big-block stinger hood. You can still buy the hood, for a lot of different cars, including 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th gen Camaros.

Diffenrent compagny made this Hood.
Stinger is the name of one of these compagny or Stinger is just a name for this particular model of hood. [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/confused.gif[/img] ???

Stinger is just the type.The hood was made in the past by Legendary and A&A.

I thought the point on the first gen stinger hood started a couple of inches behind the front of the hood.

The hood was also made without the "stinger", as found on the Bill Hielscher "Mr. Bardahl" '67 427 Camaro SuperStocker, Yenko/Dick Harrell '67 427 SuperStocker driven by Mike Garfinkel, Courtesy/Dick Harrell '67 SuperStocker driven by Gene Rains, and 67 Z28 Gibb Stock Eliminator "Little Hoss".
