Newbie J.B. here. Have questions. What is the stall speed of converter used with TH 400 in 70 Yenko Duece? Also, is the trans code the same as a 70 Z-28 Camaro? One more question. What is the correct lingage between the gas pedal and carb? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, J.B.

It should be coded 70Wxxx, or at least that's what Marlin told me a while back (I think).
So, is LT-1 convertor the same as the L-78 convertor in '70 (and '69)? |

Ok guys heres the program. Im putting together a LT-1, 70 Nova to go playing at the PSMCDR drag race in Stanton Michigan this fall. Its not gonna be passed off as a "YENKO", or even a Yenko clone and isnt even painted a Yenko color, its white. Ive raced small blocks for years (im almost 60!!) and think it would be a blast to show how fast a small block car could go if it were ordered "correctly". Current rules allow cars to race if they are same as to what was assembly line available at the time, right pulleys, right carb, right casting #s on intake, heads, exhaust manifolds, right stall speed, etc. Thats it guys. Im gonna take this car out and hammer on it like most people wouldnt want to do with an original. I would appreciate your help to make it as correct as possible and dont wish to step on toes in doing so...thanks J.B.

The Yenko Deuce was pretty close to a 70 Z/28 in a base Nova body. You may want to try Mad Mike's site. There are some very knowledgeable 70 Z/28 guys over there. Where has Marlin been? Have not seen any posts from him in a while.
