Default Do the history legwork..it can work out!

We just took in a '69 Trans Am RA III/4sp the other day. While going through the copious paperwork, the owner told us where he got it. The previous owner called up the original selling dealership in Kentucky, and asked about their records. He actually got someone helpful and enthusiastic enough to go up into the attic and dig through the boxes. Upon finding the folder for this car in the dusty recesses of the attic, they found the original Car Order, Purchase Order writeup (for about $4500), and the cancelled check from GMAC. Oh, yeah, also the original Protect O Plate that the original owner neglected to pick up or take with him! This nice person then mailed all these materials to the owner. Man, it just brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it?

Whereas I've called every Rod Roberts in the state of Oregon, and NONE of them are the orignal owner of my '69 Z....one of them had a yellow '68 RS though...oh the stories you'll hear........
